Global warming is a consequence of the increased CO₂ concentration in the atmosphere. We strongly believe net zero CO₂ emissions will stop global warming.
With RECOAL we want to make a relevant contribution. We will permantently remove 180M tons CO₂ per year by 2040.
We act now because we owe it to future generations.
Our team of experts is developing cutting-edge technology that captures carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and securely stores it underground. We work closely with businesses and governments to implement these solutions on a large scale and make a real impact on the environment.

Giovanni Alberti
Co-Founder
Giovanni has worked for many years as a business consultant. He designed and patented coffee capsules and built one of the first Nespresso-compatible production plants in Europe in 2009, which was sold to a Japanese coffee company. Afterwards, he built a Coffee capsule plant and was CEO of a 500 million capsules/year production plant for the Migros industry from 2014 to 2019.
Pirmin Aregger
Co-Founder
Pirmin has been working in various firms as a member of the executive board in the agri-food industry since 2005. As deputy CEO of the largest meat processor in Switzerland, he has been able to implement innovations in the areas of sustainability, animal welfare, protein transition and digitalization. Pirmin has mandated the roles of an advisory board member and a board of directors' member.
Joachim Hanssler
Co-Founder
Joachim is a passionate project manager with 10 years of experience in the food industry and across multimillion CHF projects with extensive experience in process engineering, food tech and plant engineering. In 2022, he decided to use his expertise to make an impact on climate change. He began working on a decarbonisation project at Migros Industries as a project manager in the corporate business development.
